What a day on a plate looks like for Love Island winners Grant and Tayla

Oh how our lives are soulless now that Love Island Australia is over. While watching 20-something-year-olds bask in the sun all day long (hello melanoma) doesn’t sound that amusing, we dearly miss our daily dose of laughing at Josh doing his sexy robot dance, Erin and Eden’s five minute arguments, watching sh*t go down every time the truth bike made an appearance, looking at guys walking around shirtless, and weirdly watching the contestants take part in the most weird AF challenges.

But what we miss most about this year’s most controversial TV show is watching Grant and Tayla’s relationship blossom, which we feel as though we’ve invested more time into than our own love life.

While we can’t creepily watch their every move now, we can assure you that the two of them are off loving life being a couple in the real world…and are apparently already planning to start a family together.

Which got us thinking – can you imagine little Crapp babies? (yes, Grant’s last name is Crapp). If they had girls as tall and stunning as Tayla, and boys as buff as Grant, they’d be Australia’s most good-looking family.

But Grant and Tayla’s lean bods don’t just come naturally; their healthy lifestyles and clean AF diets explain it all, and quite frankly, clarify why they’re so perfect for each other.

Grant is a fan of the latest diet trend: intermittent fasting.

In the morning he only drinks water, and he has his first meal at midday, which is usually chicken, steak, or fish with green veggies, a little bit of sweet potatoes or any other type of healthy carbs.

His next meal is around 6:30pm, which he admits “is usually a huge meal.”

“The portions are huge. 500g of steak or 4 chicken breasts and/or salmon or any other type of fish,” he told myBody+Soul.

But it doesn’t stop there. He also has “500-700g of brown rice or sweet potatoes, and sometimes broccoli.”

Think this is healthy enough? Think again. He also “avoids all sugar, fat, and oils”, and his “alcohol consumption is very low.”

For snacks between his two meals, he sticks to bananas, apples, and grapes.

His workout routine also makes any guy’s routine sound like an absolute cinch.

He does eight one hour sessions a week, doubling up on Monday and Thursday, and skipping Sundays because it’s his “day off.”

And like any guy, he does favour his weights over the cardio.

For Tayla, her diet is minimal, too.

Breakfast is a coffee with a “snack or protein bowl.”

“Lunch is another coffee, smoothie, and some carrots and hummus,” which is then followed by some crackers for afternoon tea.

And dinner is a stir fry or something similar.

She also doesn’t skimp short on the workouts either.

The 21-year-old exercises six times per week. She does a Plates class bright and early at 6:30am, and then in the afternoon she does a boxing sesh, or goes for a run followed by an ab workout.

So. Damn. Healthy.
