Stop the presses, we’ve got breaking news for the Blue and Gold.
Archie Andrews himself — well, the “Riverdale” character at least — has been added to the list of guests appearing at Denver Comic Con 2018. On Friday, the July event announced that central star of the hit CW twist on the Archie Comics, KJ Apa, is joining his growing list of castmates.
Apa will be at the fest Saturday and Sunday, with an autograph costing $60 and a photo $75.
This is on top of the announcement earlier this week that Skeet Ulrich, who plays the brooding Southside Serpent ringleader FP Jones, will join teen-heartthrob-turned-Riverdale-parent Molly Ringwald, also on the guest list.
Ulrich will appear all weekend with an autograph for $50 and a photo for $60. But hey, if you’ve been saving up for this moment since the 1990s when he was in “Scream” and “The Craft,” then you are well prepared.
Ringwald will appear Saturday and Sunday with an autograph and photo each at $60.
Previously announced “Riverdale” guest Madelaine Petsch, who plays Cheryl Blossom, and Luke Perry, a.k.a. Archie’s dad, have canceled.
The dark teen drama (let’s just say there’s death … a lot of it) first aired in 2017, and has since catapulted the young cast into the spotlight of social media fame and awards show red carpets. To an older audience, the resurgence of Ringwald, Perry and Ulrich as now-parents leaves something for viewers of all ages.
